CCB to Launch ACH Online Payment Option
September 1, 2021
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) will launch a new ACH Payment feature on Monday September 13, 2021. To implement the new online payment option, the Accela Cannabis Customer Portal will be unavailable beginning at 8:00 p.m. (PST) Sunday, September 12 until 8:00 a.m. (PST) Monday, September 13.
For Agent Card applicants:
Once completing an application, this added option will allow Agent Card applicants to submit online payments through Accela using a bank routing number and checking or savings account number.
Upon successfully submitting payment, a receipt will be sent to the applicant’s email on file from “[email protected].” A charge will appear on your bank statement as “STATE OF NEVADA.”
Applicants may continue to submit a payment via mailed check. To do so, select “Pay Later” to bypass the online payment form. As a reminder, please allow 7-10 business days for the CCB to receive and process any payments received via mail.
Additionally, the “Pay Later” option may be utilized if a licensee intends to pay for an applicant. If selecting this option, an applicant will need to designate the licensee as a delegate. That can be done utilizing the “Add Delegate” option and selecting “Make Payments in Cannabis” to allow another user to make a payment to your account.
As a reminder, a Temporary Agent Card will not be issued until payment is received. On your Records page within Accela, you can view the status of your application at any time. The “Action” column will have a hyperlink “Pay Fees Due” if payment has not been submitted.
For Licensees:
To submit payments through Accela, licensees will have two options: “Pay with Trust/Revolving Account” or “Pay with Bank Account.” Note: only the main account holder or delegates granted permission can make a payment to an account. Only persons authorized to make trust/revolving account transactions will have the option to do so.
FAQs:
Q: Can I pay for part of my fee now and pay the rest later?
A: No. When paying with ACH, the whole fee must be paid in full. There is not an option within Accela to select a different amount or make a partial payment.
Q: Can I pay online using a debit or credit card?
A: No, currently payment by debit or credit card is not an option within Accela. Payment can only be made using a bank account.
Q: What is the process if a licensee wishes to pay for a person’s agent card application?
A: First, the applicant should set the licensee as a delegate to make a payment to their account. Note: this status can be edited at any time. (i.e., an applicant can remove a delegate once the transaction is complete.) Once a licensee is named a delegate, the licensee can proceed to make a payment for the applicant.
Please plan accordingly for the scheduled maintenance and downtime of Accela. Questions should be directed to [email protected].
